This week saw a milestone reached for the B&CC - I hand laid the last two bridles, so surveying is now finished. The "to be named" mine siding (what was originally Central City) was completed and the car siding and wye at Central City have also been surveyed. I still need to put in roadbed and spikes, but the status the B&CC is now complete in the sense that there won't be any new track added.
I've spiked about half of the NY Mill siding. My plans are to try and finish that up this week, but I don't know if I'll lay more roadbed - I need to replace the light bars with track lighting for the layout (and in my shop) so that's my next effort. When done, I'll have better lighting both for the layout and for building my engines (I'm going blind fast enough already - don't need to help it with eye strain). After that, I might start putting in the under layout electrical/mechanical switches for the turnouts, but then again, maybe I'll wait on that for a little bit.
Speaking of building engines - I'm expecting the center drill set for the driver centers Monday this week and once I have better lighting, I'll look at allocating some time for that. Still need the driver centers for the crankpins, but I think I've located a source and will be running that down this week as well.
