I'm still in the midst of several different projects:- Spiking the Upper Blackhawk zone has taken a bit longer than I expected, but I'm near the end - just have a few more turnouts and the track over the trestle to complete.
- The ash pit track and Blackhawk wye are being wired and should be finished and tested with DC tomorrow. Once I'm done spiking, I'll switch over to wiring the rest of this zone while I spike the Central City zone.
- The Forks zone is fully wired and tested with DC. It won't be fully operational until I add fascia and pull knobs, but it runs trains at this point.
- The circuit breaker drop panel needs the zone pairs run from each cut out switch terminal to the main terminal distribution strip. I just haven't gotten to it as it's not on my critical path at this point
Back to cleaning up for OS Omaha from all this construction - the second operating weekend we're hosting in as many months. If anybody is visiting, feel free to stop by during the Friday night open house and see the "construction zone" - I promise you won't need hard hats ("what's OSHA?")
Not sure how much I'll get done in June at this point - between the previously mentioned weekend, the NMRA regional convention in Norfolk the following weekend (if anybody is dropping by, look me up) and a trip I need to make for my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary, I don't think I'll make as much progress as I did this month. On the other hand, I've been pushing to complete the last couple of Achievement Program certificates for my MMR (and the end of that tunnel is in sight).
