Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for the other three DOA decoders to come back from across the ocean (and to send the fourth over), so I broke down and bought inexpensive Z scale decoders to verify the mechanics. The first of these went into #2.

#3 (another 0-4-0T) passed its DC clearance tests and so I'm planning on attaching a Z scale decoder to it for the next stage of testing. #6 is back in the rebuild process (again) - I keep finding binding points on it that I thought I had fixed. Lastly, #4 is still waiting for its replacement crankpin.

On the subject of the PSC cylinder block kits, after calling every store that was recommended to me, I went back to PSC and they still cast them. So, while I was ordering the two that I was looking for, I ordered spares of all the other detail parts I'm using (just in case). The box arrived over the weekend, so it looks like I can begin detailing the engines either once I'm done with testing the mechanisms or I get to a point where I'm waiting for items to find their way across the ocean.
