Dropping Feeders
When using 18 gauge feeders, a #47 bit is used to drill access holes near a PCB tie. Next, bend the end of the feeder, insert the feeder drop in and tin the end of the wire. Lastly, solder the drops to the PCB tie
On the underside of the layout, strip the bus wires in a staggered fashion (i.e. leave enough space for either electrical tape or a wire clip and wrap the feeder wire around the bus wire. Soldering is done later after operation is verified. If isolating the bus wires with electrical tape, I use the color code of the zone.
